These are questions that I am often asked, I hope they help give you better understanding of my style. I recognize that every family is different, so if you have any other questions please contact me.

What result can I expect from the family session?
You will have pictures of your family and your children, which will provide lasting and precious memories. They will be a mix of family group shots, individual images and shots of you interacting together. You can choose to have color or black&white version of every shot. For more information about my sessions please check DETAILS.
-
What is the process of booking the date of photo-shoot?
Please send me your request through Contact page. Then we will discuss all the details and you will book the date. The full session fee is due within 7 days of booking your session.

When can I see my pictures and when will I get the finished result?
I’m currently busy working on a number of projects at the same time, so I can’t promise to provide the finished results before 2 months from the date of the photo session. There are some exceptions though. Ask me about it but remember great images take time!
-
What should we wear for the session?
This is something we’ll definitely talk through and I can help you decide on the clothes that is right for your family. Colors and shades vary greatly for every person. I think that it’s great to let children wear simple comfortable clothes that they feel happy playing in. Children love to be barefoot and tousled. For babies and newborns bare skin and natural fabrics work best.

Do you stage the photos? It’s so important for us to please grandma!
My photo sessions are relaxed, fun and natural; capturing your spontaneity and emotions. I do not take traditional staged images. I won’t ask you to “stand by the flower bed”, to have full make-up, or to “say cheese”. It’s my job to capture the whole family shots for grandma without you even noticing! When children are enjoying themselves they always look wonderful!
-
Where will the sessions take place?
I love taking pictures of children in their own environment, a place which is familiar to them and they can relax, have fun and naturally be themselves. This can be at home or in their garden where they play and grow up. Give me idea of your favorite location. A studio can never match this.
-
The children are so beautiful in your portfolio and blog! Are they specially selected models or do you just take the best shots of the most photogenic chidren?
Your child will join this gallery, believe me! I can assure you that all children are photogenic, I’ve never met a child that hasn’t been.
-
Your pictures are wonderful! Can you tell me about the equipment you use.
I’m currently using professional SLR cameras and prime lens of companies Canon (Japan) and Leica (Germany). For my underwater pictures I use equipment of Ikelite and Canon.
-
The interiors of your shots look wonderful. I do not think my appartment looks that great, so I’m not sure if it’s better to have a home photo session or a studio session. Can you advise?
If there was ever a “frequently asked question” then this is it! The interior of your apartment is just decoration; I’m visiting your home to catch the portrait of your family and child. I love to shoot with the emphasis on the subject, while your interior is blurred as a rule. Don’t worry about the surroundings; it’s my job to take beautiful shots of your family regardless.
-
How long have you been a photographer? Do you have any special training?
Yes, I do🙂 My first teachers were my amateur photographer friends when we traveled together around cities and countries with our very base film SLR-cameras. I studied at the Academy of Photography in 2003.
My first commercial photo session took place in 2007.
-
Do you travel for photo-sessions?
Yes, I do. It happens sometime. You can see some pictures at the Around the world gallery section.
-
I’d like a series of photo sessions, the first being during my pregnancy. What week is the best to meet?
I would advise to meet at the eight month of pregnancy. However the actual date will depend on your health and mood.
-
Your pictures often look flooded with the light, they are shining. Our house doesn’t look so bright…
It’s exceptionally seldom when I find myself in really light apartments or houses. The spaces tend to be dark in general. However, my light sensitive equipment enables me to make wonderful shots. It rarely happens that we need to change the date of your session, may be only if rainy weather doesn’t suit your child’s mood.
-
My husband is against putting our family pictures on the internet or elsewhere, can we avoid it?
I totally understand it. At the same time I kindly ask you understand that cooperation with magazines and publishing houses is big part of my work. My works appear in national and international expositions and contents. This is your right to keep your pictures for family use only. In this case I reserve the right to increase the cost of the photo session.

Not only do the children look like models in your gallery, but their moms are very beautiful too. Can you help me?
Mothers are really beautiful. In no way does this relate to a person’s appearance. I’ll use my professional skills to capture the mother’s beauty in full. If you would like, I can arrange the services of a make-up artist to help bring out your best qualities and conceal others, whilst still maintaining a natural appearance.
