Details

Before you decide that Olesya Uglova is the photographer
for you please check FAQ and read all the information below.

  1. My sessions are relaxed and fun; I try to be as unobtrusive as possible. I do not have rules, nor expectations of the parents, nor the children.
  2. I won’t ask your child to “say cheese” or to “stand by that flower bed”. I’ll capture their emotions as they play and you interact. A good portrait can be taken on a doorstep, on coming back from a walk, playing with a dog or on an adventure.
  3. I prefer to capture children as they are.
  4. I take pictures of children in the environment that familiar to them. Usually it could be their home.
  5. Clothes are very important for portraits. I can help you choose the ones that will work on that specific day. The key is color and simplicity. For babies and particularly for newborns bare skin and natural fabrics work best. Children love to be barefoot an I love shooting them like that!
  6. During my photography sessions I make use of the sun’s ambient light and don’t bring any additional intrusive studio equipment. I don’t use an external flash.
  7. If you don’t want your photo-session at home then we can find a suitable location together, such as a local favorite park.
  8. I am currently available for a select number of family, children, underwater and women’s photosessions each month.
  9. I’m based in Santa Cruz, CA most time of the year. I’m usually travelling during summer time.
  10. Please feel free contact me as soon as you ready to ensure your desired date is available.
  11. I encourage you tell me as much as you can about your family and your expectations from the photo shoot so I can see if they are the right fit.
  12. Fill out the contact form or send me an email olesya.uglova@gmail.com
  13. Photo packages are not offered so that you only purchase what you love!
